Registration & Tuition Policies

  • The annual registration fee will automatically be placed on the account we have on file upon completion of enrollment; registration fee is $25 per student. This fee will be assessed one time per year based on consecutive enrollment.

  • Tuition on automatic withdrawal will be charged to the card on file on the 1st of each month.

  • Withdrawal notification must be received via e-mail within 7 days prior to the upcoming month in order to avoid being charged for the upcoming month's tuition.

  • Notification must be received via e-mail within 7 days prior to the upcoming month in order to change from an "Enrolled Student" to a "Drop-In Student" in order to avoid being charged full tuition for the upcoming month.

  • Based on the school year schedule, tuition is the same amount every month regardless of how many classes fall within that month. Tuition rates are based on a 4 week month. If you begin in the middle of the month, you have the option of paying by the class for that month. Months with 5 weeks balance out the months that only have 3 weeks due to studio closures such as holidays and breaks.

 

Class Withdrawal Policy

If a student chooses to discontinue any or all classes during the year, a parent or guardian must send an e-mail to info@edc03.com stating which classes they would like to withdraw from. Withdrawals may not be done verbally with teachers/staff, over the phone or via text. Withdrawals MUST be completed 7days prior to the upcoming month. In the event a withdrawal e-mail is sent less than 7 days prior to the upcoming month, the student is responsible for the following month's tuition. There are no refunds given to students that discontinue taking lessons at any time during the month.

 

Summer Intensive

  • Deposits for Summer Intensive Programs are required in order to reserve a student's place. Due dates/amounts will be listed on website and brochures.

 

Tuition Policies

  • Encore Dance Center encourages automatic bill pay in order to avoid late fees.

  • Tuition is non-refundable, non-transferable and refunds will not be given for any reason.

  • No refunds for missed classes; however, make-up classes can be arranged with the office in any similar level and age group.

  • Permission to transfer to another class must be received via e-mail 7 days prior to the upcoming month and permission must be granted by Encore's Director.

  • There is a $15 late payment fee for declined or expired cards/delinquent accounts. Late fees will be assessed on the 8th of each month and the student will be held out of classes until the balance is paid in full.

  • A $50 returned check fee will be assessed for all returned checks. After the first returned check, you will be required to pay by cash, money order or credit card.

  • In support of "Going Green" Encore does not send out paper invoices for tuition; however, we will send a tuition due e-mail on the first of the month and a reminder on the seventh of each month. We do not offer refunds, credits or transfers for partial classes or classes not taken. 

 

PLEASE NOTE:  If you are going to miss the first class of the month, please login to your portal to make your payment or drop off your payment so it is received by the tuition due date.  

 

Production Policies & Fees

  • The June production is a wonderful opportunity for all Encore students, but is not mandatory.

  • All show fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • If opting out of the June production, e-mail notification must be given prior to the given dates, which will be e-mailed, listed on the calendar and posted at the studio.

  • As a courtesy, professional photographs will be taken of students in their costumes on a weekend in May/June; we encourage attendance so the students purchasing photos will have most, if not all, their class in the picture on Photo Day. Purchasing photographs is optional.

  • In order to participate in the annual recital, attendance is required. Additionally, all tuition and fees must be current prior to the event.

 

Single Class Payment
If you are paying "by the class" (Single Class), it must be paid on or before the day the class is taken in order to avoid a late fee. The late fee charged will be $15 for each class not paid on or before the day the class is taken.

 

Enrollment
Due to limited space in each class, if enrollment is broken for longer than 1 month (30 days) without notice, the student's place in the class may be filled. If the student returns after 2 months (60 days), they will be required to pay the registration fee again. If you do not send a withdrawal e-mail to drop from any or all classes at Encore Dance Center at least 7 days prior to the upcoming month, you will continue to be charged your monthly tuition.

For classes that are on a wait list, the full monthly tuition must be paid on the due date, regardless of attendance, in order to keep your spot in the class.  

 

Family Discount (Tuition Only)
10% discount will be given for each additional student within the same household (Immediate Family Members Only). Discounts are applied to the lower tuition rate.

 

Studio Rules

  • The lobby is for sitting, observing and visiting only. When students are not in class, parents are responsible for their children's behavior and safety. Children are not permitted to play in the lobby at any time. For everyone's safety, the lobby floors must remain clear of toys, bags and other materials.

  • No food, drink or gum in the dance studio (water only).

  • Parents must walk children 12 and under to and from the classroom.

  • A vacant studio is not to be played or loitered in.

  • If a student arrives more than 10 minutes late to class, the student may be asked to observe. Without proper warm-up, students risk injury.

  • Students may not leave before class is concluded without prior arrangement with the instructor.

  • Students must be picked up on time after class. Encore Dance Center is not responsible for students outside of class time.

  • Family and friends are asked to remain outside of the classroom at all times. This is beneficial for the student and class progression because it provides a safe and non-distracted environment (see Observation below).

  • Please keep conversation in the lobby positive and up-beat. Negativity does not provide for a healthy environment.

  • Please take cell phone conversations out of the lobby area.

  • The studio office and area behind the reception desk are private areas for faculty and staff only.

  • Please send an e-mail when your child will not be in class.

  • Encore Dance Center is not responsible for personal property.

  • Encore Dance Center reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

 

Observation

In order to keep distractions to a minimum, only students are allowed in the classroom. There are observation windows located in the lobby. You are welcome to discreetly observe as long as it does not distract your child or other class members.

 

If you would like additional information on how your child is progressing, you can inquire via e-mail or send an e-mail to schedule an appointment.

Makeup Classes

Attendance is taken every week. If you have to miss a class, please contact us via e-mail to let us know. There are no refunds for classes not taken, but missed classes may be made up within four weeks of the student's absence. Makeups must be scheduled in advance and must be in a similar level and age group for the student. Encore Dance Center limits makeup classes to four per school year session and three per summer session.

 

Private/Semi-Private Instruction
Rates vary depending on the style as well as the instructor providing the lesson. Please use our Visibook app to schedule your private or semi-private lesson. The link to schedule can be found on our Home Page. If you need to cancel your private lesson, it must be done at least 4hrs prior to the scheduled time in order to avoid any fees. If cancelled less than 4hrs prior to the lesson, you will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee.

 

Referral Program

EDC offers $10.00 off your next month's tuition for each new student you refer. There is no limit to the amount of referrals you can have! For instance; if you refer 10 students in one month, you will receive $100 off your next month's tuition. If you are only taking one hour per week ($50/month) you would get 2 months free! 

*For families who are referred that register more than one student - a maximum of one referral credit will be applied to your account* 

 

On occasions, we will double the referral fee. We've even been know to triple it!

 

Studio Closures
Holiday/Studio breaks will be posted on our calendar page as well as our bulletin boards in both Studio A & B. We will also send out e-mail reminders the month in which these closures occur.

 

Studio Rental Rates
$40.00/HR
Deposit and rental agreement required for all events. If interested, please contact us in advance at 602.266.4499 to confirm availability. Lower rates may be available with long-term rental agreement.
